Florida Native Garden
Delray Beach, FL
This landscape transformation is dedicated to South Florida diversity and the beauty of formal landscape sensibility. The primary objective of the project was to attract as many bird species as possible to a half-acre lot in Delray. The recipe for this is designing a habitat for the birds by providing food, water, and shelter. This can all be accomplished with thoughtful plantings, species diversity, water features, leaving the established oak canopies, and planting new older succession canopy trees.
It’s an honor to work on a project like this. So many gardens are flourishing, yet nobody knows them. They are tucked away in someone’s secret garden. Here, the intention is to educate people that gardens can be good for the planet, while satiating our visual desires.
