Bio
Ben Feistmann is a landscape designer and avid gardener, born and raised in West Palm Beach. He specializes in fruit trees, edible perennials, and FL native plants.
Ben has temporarily relocated to Durham, North Carolina, and is enrolled at North Carolina State University, pursuing a Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning in the College of Design. He will complete his degree by 2028 with an LAAB accreditation.
Ben is still working with local nurseries and landscape contractors on various projects. Feel free to reach out for his consultation and design services.
Education
Ben earned his Bachelor’s in Philosophy at the University of Central Florida.
He received his Permaculture Design Certification and completed a two-year apprenticeship program at the Center for Bioregional Living.
He went on to complete his Landscape Design Certificate at the New York Institute of Art & Design.
Previous Work
He served clients in Palm Beach, Broward, and Martin County.
Additionally, Ben has done contract work with Permaculture Living Lands Trust, Native Choice Nursery, and GreenDreams.
Community Work
Ben served as President of the Palm Beach County Rare Fruit Council from 2022 to 2024.
He has spoken as a guest lecturer at local South Florida garden clubs, including the Delray Beach Historical Society & Heritage Gardens and the Palm Beach Pack & Paddle Club.
